Intensive Revision Course - HSC Physics

HSC Physics trial exam preparation

Each year, we offer an Intensive Revision course covering the entire HSC Physics course up to date. Our Intensive Revision courses are aimed at both new and existing students, and are taught over 4 days during these school holidays.

Our teachers will go through the entire course, focusing on more difficult and exam-relevant sections of the syllabus.

We will also focus on effective exam technique, such as:

  • How to structure your answers for full marks
  • How to read a question in terms of its marking criteria
  • How to break down long questions
  • Essay response writing techniques
  • Different types of exam questions, including less familiar ones
Course structure

Our Intensive Revision Course is taught over 4 days of classes, each 3 hours long, plus one full tutorial day where students can ask for help about anything related to the Physics course. Attendance of the tutorial day is optional.

Assumed knowledge

It is assumed that students are reasonably capable at Physics. This course builds on core knowledge and refines students' understanding of Physics concepts, with a focus on more difficult exam-relevant content.

Learning materials

Learning materialswill be provided throughout the Intensive Revision Course. These materials comprehensively cover the entire syllabus, and summarises the main points for each syllabus dot-point, so you'll have the best study guide for your HSC trial exams.

We will also provide you with useful summaries of effective exam techniques, such as how to structure long answers effectively, how to break down a long question into multiple parts and deal with them separately, and other tips and tricks that allow you to get full marks for your responses.

The learning materials provided are unique and different to the materials used in regular weekly, courses.

Topics covered

For HSC Physics, the modules covered are:

  • Space
  • Motors and Generators
  • From Ideas to Implementation

The common modules will be covered for these classes in preparation for the HSC trial exams. Students are also welcome to attend FREE tutorials after the course, to receive one-on-one help with any Physics related problems.
