Summer Holiday Course | HSC Mathematics (2 Unit)

In the Mathematics (2 unit) course, we will cover a variety of topics that will help you with your term 1 assessments and half-yearly exams. Unlike some of our competitor's holiday courses, our classes are small, fun, and most importantly, INTERACTIVE. You will be given plenty of opportunity to ask questions in class.

Aim of the course

Our Mathematics (2 unit) Summer Holiday Course is designed to provide you with a comprehensive overview of the topics that are most likely to come up in your term 1 assessments and half-yearly exams. By learning most of the course ahead of your school peers, you will gain a competitive advantage that will help you score higher ranks in your school assessments.

Remember, in year 12, all assessments count towards determining your rank at school, which makes up for 50% of your final HSC assessment. How well you do relative to your peers at school is a huge determinant to your ATAR (50%). This course therefore aims to help you PREPARE EARLY for your term 1 assessments and half-yearly Mathematics exams!

Topics covered
  • Geometrical Application of Differential
  • Locus
  • Arithmetic and Geometric Series (including applications of series)
  • Probability
  • Logarithmic and Exponential Functions
  • Trigonometric Functions
Course structure

Our Mathematics (2 unit) course is structured over 2 Parts of 4 hours each.

Over the two Parts, your teacher will cover the topics most likely to come up in term 1 and 2 assessments. Your teacher will be very experienced at giving you all the tips, tricks and shortcuts that can be used to your advantage in 2 Unit.

Classes will consist of a detailed and thorough explanation of the theory behind each topic, followed by Worked Examples that progress in difficulty. Our Worked Examples are carefully chosen by our experienced staff to cover the range of HSC exam questions that could be given to you in your exams.

Course materials

Course materials will be provided. Our notes summarise all the theory content of the topics covered, and contain many, many Worked Examples. Our notes are well presented, easy to understand, and designed to expose you to the widest range of maths questions, so you are not caught by surprise in your exams.
